Spanish press reports said that the injury suffered by Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho may deprive his former club, Liverpool, of getting 20 million euros.
The 28-year-old Coutinho moved from Liverpool to Barcelona in January 2018, for an amount of 120 million euros, in addition to 40 million euros as variables.
According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", one of the items of the variables stipulates that Liverpool will receive an amount of 20 million euros in the event that Coutinho reaches 100 matches with Barcelona.
The source added that Coutinho's injury may force him to be absent until the end of the current season, and thus Liverpool's access to the aforementioned amount will be delayed until next season.
The newspaper pointed out that Coutinho has played with Barcelona so far 90 games, and Liverpool may be permanently denied access to 20 million euros if Coutinho leaves Barcelona in the summer.
