French club Paris Saint-Germain announced today, Tuesday, the official dismissal of German coach Thomas Tuchel.
"I would like to thank Thomas Tuchel and his assistants for all they have given the club," said Nasser Al-Khulaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain. "Thomas has put a lot of energy and passion into his work, and of course we will remember the good times we shared together. I wish him good luck in his future."
After being appointed coach of the Parisian team in July 2018, Thomas Tuchel led the capital's team with 127 games, in all competitions, recording 95 wins, 12 draws and 20 defeats (the team scored 342 goals, and conceded 109 goals).
Tochel won two French League championships and several other domestic championships, and last August led Paris Saint-Germain to reach the first Champions League final in the club's history.
The club has not yet announced the coach who will replace Tuchel, but all sources confirm that he will be Argentine Mauricio Pochettino.
