Media reports have exploded a new development regarding the future of Barcelona's Argentine international star Lionel Messi, whose contract with the Catalan club expires at the end of the season.
Footballtransfers said in an exclusive report: "Saint-Germain is increasing confidence in contracting Lionel Messi for free, after he asked his stores in France to prepare for the influx of business based on the sales of Messi's shirts."
He added, "Messi announced that he was unhappy in Barcelona after a two-decade engagement with the club. The Argentine was about to leave last summer before legal obligations force him to stay at Camp Nou."
And he added: "However, the contract of the six-time Ballon d'Or winner will expire at the end of the current season with the Catalan club, and he is not expected to sign a new deal for several reasons."
