The match between Basaksehir and Paris Saint-Germain in the sixth and final round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League has resumed, after the match was stopped on Tuesday.
The match was stopped after 13 minutes of the match, after the fourth Romanian referee Sebastian Kulchesco directed racist insults to Piero Weibo, a member of the Turkish club's technical staff.
Istanbul club Basaksehir players left the stadium, refusing to continue the match after Weibo was subjected to racist abuse by the match referee, and Paris Saint-Germain players left after that.
The European Football Association "UEFA" officially announced the completion of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Turkish Basaksehir at eight o'clock this evening, Wednesday, but with new referees and starting from the 14th minute (the moment the match stopped).
The players of the two teams entered the field and wrapped around the middle of the field, kneeling on their knees, to present an exceptional stance to reject racist behavior.
It is worth noting that the Paris Saint-Germain team had qualified for the Champions League round of 16, after Manchester United lost to Leipzig, on Tuesday, by three goals to two.
