Today, Wednesday, the English Football League announced its decision to stop the Premier League due to the increasing number of Coronavirus infections in the country.
She stressed that there is no intention to stop the season, given the need for that, in light of the great confidence in the measures taken to confront the pandemic.
"We have never discussed and do not have any plans to stop the season, and we trust in the protocol put in place to confront the outbreak of the Coronavirus," the association’s statement said.
"Since the health of players and employees is the priority, the League fully supports how clubs implement the protocols and rules."
