Manchester City owner buys the oldest copy of the England Cup

The owner of Manchester City, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, bought the oldest copy of the FA Cup, for an amount of 760,000 pounds.

Manchester City said: "We are pleased to announce with pride that His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, owner of the club, has become the owner of the oldest existing copy of the England Cup, which dates back to the period between 1896-1910 after it was purchased at an auction recently."

He added, "In line with the wish of His Highness Sheikh Mansour, this trophy was offered on loan to a museum in Manchester, where it has been in it since 2005."

He continued: "The aim is to keep this historic version of the cup accessible to all football fans to visit and enjoy."

He concluded: "The cup was the first championship that Manchester City won and that was in 1904, when Al-Sami defeated Bolton Wanderers 1-0 in the final, making it the first professional football club from Manchester City to achieve a great achievement."
