Manchester City deserve Shakhtar in the Champions League

Manchester City scored a deserved 3-0 victory over Shakhtar in the first round of the Champions League group stage at Al Ittihad.

Manchester City raised their tally after this victory to 3 points in second place in the second group on goal difference from leaders Dinamo Zagreb, while freezing the balance of Shakhtar without any point in third place.

Manchester City scored the goal by Riad Mehrez in the 24th minute after a great shot from Gundogan hit the left post and Mehrez followed a shot in the net.

In the 38th minute, Manchester scored a second goal through Elkay Gundogan, a superb pass from Mehrez that put Gundogan in front of the goalkeeper and hit a shot that dived the far left corner of the goal.

Manchester was able to score a third goal through, Gabriel Jesus, in the "76", after a pass from De Bruyne put Jesus in the face of goalkeeper Beatov to hit the ground.
