The Italian Minister of Sports called for the necessity of stopping the Italian Football League, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, which led to the suspension of the Parma match against Spal one minute before the start of the match.
Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora said in a press statement this morning, in which he said: "I share the opinions of Damiano Tomasi, the president of the Italian Football Federation, and I am united with his call to suspend the Italian league."
He added: "I think it is the duty of the Italian Football Federation president Gabriel Gravina to meditate again, without waiting for one of the players to become infected with the virus in order to suspend the Italian league."
He concluded, "It does not make sense when we ask our citizens for enormous sacrifices to prevent the spread of infection, and we risk the health of the players, referees, coaches and fans who will definitely meet to watch the matches."
It is noteworthy that the game Spal and Parma comes within the round postponed from last week, knowing that Juventus will host Inter Milan tonight in the same round, but it may be canceled.
