Atlético defeats Elche and consolidates its position in the lead

 

Atletico Madrid scored an important victory at the expense of its guest, Elche, in the fourteenth round match of the Spanish League Championship, with a score of 3-1.

To take the capital team its tally to 29 points alone in the lead, while Elche's balance stuck at 14 points, in the fifteenth place.

Uruguayan star Luis Suarez put Al Atleti ahead in the 41st minute, and the same player added the second goal in the 58th minute.

Lucas Puy reduced the lead for Elche with a goal in the 64th minute, and Diego Costa returned the lead, as it had been with a penalty kick in the 80th minute.
