Messi: I had a really bad time in the summer

 

The Argentine international Barcelona star, Lionel Messi, admitted that he had a "difficult time" last summer, stressing that he is currently focusing on fighting with the team on all titles.

Messi said in an interview that will be published in full on December 27: "I am fine. I had a very bad time with the summer that I went through, the end of the season, and what happened in the summer."

He added in his speech: "Now I feel good, anxious, and excited. I know that the club is going through a difficult time, at the team and club level, but I look forward to that."

Messi had asked the club management to allow him to leave for free last summer, but the club refused to do so before the player decided to stay until the end of the season at least.

Messi's contract with Barcelona expires on June 30, and many clubs want to sign him, including Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
