The draw for the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, to be held in Qatar, was held Monday evening in Zurich, noting that 10 teams will qualify directly for the World Cup, in addition to 3 teams through the supplement.
All the teams of the same group will play against each other back and forth between March and November 2021, provided that the top ten teams qualify directly for the World Cup, while the ten descriptions play the supplement.
In addition to the ten qualifiers of the group stage, the supplement will include the best two teams from the teams leading the Euro 2020-2021 groups, which did not qualify for the World Cup and did not reach the play-offs with their second place.
The 12 teams will be divided into three decisive tracks, which will witness one-match confrontations in March 2022, to determine the last three European teams that will join the World Cup qualifiers.
