Andrea Pirlo, the Juventus coach, expressed his satisfaction after his team defeated Genoa 3-1 in the eleventh round match of the Italian League Championship.
Pirlo said: "Our handling of the match was the most important thing and we had to delete the Barcelona match from our brains. We were against a team that wanted to close down and defend, so we needed patience to achieve the breakthrough, but also the right attitude to attack them and pressure them to make mistakes."
He continued: "It was annoying that a goal was received in the first shot literally, especially a few minutes after we scored, but we recovered from it."
"We are trying to make the most of McKinney's characteristics, as he can penetrate into the penalty area well in central areas, especially when we have Dybala who tends to drift a little wider, and we need someone to fill the spaces," he said.
"We don't have a classic midfield playmaker, but we do have midfielders who can play some different roles. It depends on the matches and the characteristics of the competitors we are playing against," he continued.
He concluded: "Dybala? Paulo needs this goal psychologically and physically. He did well in both stages today and we are happy."
