Pirlo: What Cristiano did is unfortunate, and I was angry with Morata

 

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo spoke to the press, following a 1-1 draw against Atlanta in the twelfth round of the Italian League.

"We played against a strong team, with great pace," Pirlo said. "We have to win those matches where we need to take a step forward. Instead, we missed a little bit in some cases and couldn't win."

"Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in the first half? It's a pity because he would have helped us go forward, but these things can happen," he added.

And he added: "Keeping your nets clean once in the last nine matches? On Sunday we conceded a goal from the only shot on our own goal, it is not about goals, it is about how to face the matches."

He added, "Morata wasted many opportunities in the first half? It made me very angry, it is something we cannot bear, these opportunities can guide the game in a certain way."

He concluded: "One must have the clarity to make the right decision when he did not, regardless of that he (Morata) played a great match, the failure to score goals sometimes occurs."
