Is the Premier League postponed?

The specter of stopping the "Premier League" Premier League is returning to the front again, after the recent rapid rise in cases of Coronavirus (Covid 19).

The Aston Villa match against Newcastle United in the 11th round was postponed, in addition to the Manchester City and Everton, Tottenham and Fulham matches in the 16th round.

Up to this point, there is no official party that has proposed the idea of temporarily stopping the English Premier League, despite the spread of the Corona virus in the country to a very large extent, as well as in some clubs.

The English Premier League Board of Directors confirmed in an official statement that this season's matches will be played as planned, and the Premier League has expressed its confidence in the protocol for Covid-19.

The British government met, today, Wednesday, to study the current situation in the country, but never during its meeting the idea of stopping sporting activities (elite) in the country.

The Premier League clubs will meet at the end of January to discuss the current situation, but in principle, at least 14 clubs must be approved to stop the season.

West Bromwich Albion coach Sam Allardyce had demanded a two-week suspension of the league, while Manchester United coach Ule Gunnar Solskjaer objected to Allarades' request.
