AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli confirmed, in press statements to the media, that the team's goal this season is to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Pioli said in a press statement singled out by the "Corriere della Sera" newspaper, in which he said: "We will work on improvement. The club management did not ask for anything, and they do not want to put pressure on us."
"The club management put us in perfect working conditions: they are exceptional, but we all know that we must do our best to get Milan back to where it should be, in the Champions League," he added.
He concluded: "Milan this year found enthusiasm, seriousness and strength, signing with Kier and Zlatan? The group is strong and united. Those who arrived last January, Ibrahimovic and Kiir, were role models and helped us to change things."
It is noteworthy that Milan is at the top of the Italian league standings with 34 points, only one point behind the runner-up Inter, after 14 rounds of the competition.
